Flower appliqued' t-shirt

This is the last of the baby t-shirts I made. It was for our niece, Josie, who just turned one about a week ago.

I used two different fabrics that had some pink in them to make the petals. I used a zig-zag stitch to get them in place. I also used some fray check so that the rough edges wouldn't unravel too fast. I was very happy with how it turned out.

After the petals were placed, I cut out a circle and stitched that onto the center of the flower. I wrote "one" on it using pink fabric paint.

I've not done applique' too many times, so this shirt gave me some more practice. It was a lot of fun to do!

Have any of you crafted a t-shirt recently and have a picture to share with the rest of us. Link up!:)
