Because I'm still without a camera, I chose to use my phone to do a video of the drawing and take a picture of the person's name. Unfortunately, I couldn't figure out how to get the video transferred over, but the picture came out fine. My husband drew this person's name at noon today....

My favorite little gifts: A giveaway!!

It's been two years since I started my blog. I have thoroughly enjoyed sharing recipes, crafts, sewing projects, ministry ideas and the latest family news with all of you. I've enjoyed getting to know you, too, through the blog world.

So, it's time to CELEBRATE by having a giveaway. This is what I've decided to do: I've chosen five of my favorite little gifts that I've made recently (most of them in the last year). Perhaps the item will come in handy as a stocking stuffer this Christmas! :) The winner of the giveaway will get to choose the gift he/she wants. I've described under each photo the quantity that can be won for each gift. Then read on at the bottom to see how you can enter...

Felt flower hair clips: The winner will receive five hair clips in the color(s) of their choice. A little girl in your life will love these!

Wooden spool people: The winner will let me know the genders/ages of members of their family and I will make a set of these (up to ten family members/relatives). This little family will come in a special pouch, too. Wouldn't a youngster in your family enjoy playing with these?

Felt star coasters: A set of eight coasters will be given if this is chosen by the winner.

Felt star ornaments: If you choose this gift, you can receive six stars and can specify how many "girl" stars and how many "boy" stars you'd like. I can even paint a name on the back of each one if you want.

Christmas tree card: A set of five stitched cards will be fun to have this holiday season. Colors may vary, but the design will be the same for each card.

Just in case you couldn't open up the "giveaway winner" video...

I'm not sure what happened, but I've tried watching the giveaway winner video a few times. All it says is that it is not able to play and to try again later. Has anyone else had trouble watching it? Last week, I wrote about a give away I was having today. Two books of Giving Thanks at Mealtime as well as eight handmade fall coasters were going to be given away.

A bit after nine o'clock this morning, I placed all the entries in a pie pan. Q shuffled them around and picked a winner.

My first "blogaversary" and a giveaway!!

This weekend marks one year for me in the blogging world. To celebrate, I'm having a giveaway! Thanks to all of you for making this year a lot of fun for me. You've encouraged me, made me laugh, and shared some of your favorite creative tips.

I started "Outside the Box!" during a time when I was having some health issues. Although I'm doing a lot better, it continues to help my focus be on serving the Lord and others with the talents He's given me. I hope I've encouraged you to do the same.

Here's what I've made to give away to one of you:

These dark red and chocolate brown leaf coasters were fun to make. I did reverse applique on all four of them. For the give away, I'll include another set of four, so that you'll have a red top and a brown top for each kind of leaf. You can keep them all for yourself, or give half of them to a friend this Thanksgiving. Along with that, you can give them a book put out by Tyson foods called, Giving Thanks at Mealtimes. I'll include two so that you'll have one for yourself. In it are pictures and pages full of prayers. There's even a small postcard you can detach to order more of these books for free!

Crocs Giveaway!!!

I love my crocs!  They are so comfortable to wear outside and around the house. Before I was married, I heard from many women that the shoes they wore on their wedding day hurt their feet so badly. Wearing crocs was the answer for me to be comfortable on one of the best days of my life.  I had no sore feet whatsoever!

I had someone wonder if I would feel like a princess by wearing these crocs.  Yes, I know they're not the prettiest, but I felt like a princess inside. Having waited so long to marry the man God had for me, I was too excited to care about my foot-wear.  I chose comfort over pretty and didn't mind one bit!
